........Those are the words that roll off the tongues of many about comedian Ced Delaney. Ced Delaney has developed a niche for re-creating hot songs with his character “The Rev” and making them hotter with his remixes. His hits, “Dontcha”, "Sweet Tea", “Communion”, "Wish I Never Met Her", "Saving Souls Fast", and several others have become number one requested songs.
With sixteen years of experience this comedian from York, Alabama has made the spot……HOT!!! Ced is a graduate of Sumter County High School, attended Birmingham Southern College, UAB and now owns a degree in Technology Management. Ced Delaney has represented with nothing but, crazy class. Delaney has performed in cities across America as well as Europe. Delaney has also hosted tours with the best of the best in music and comedy including Canton Jones, Tye Tribbett, Dave Chappelle's Block Party Tour, Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Anthony Hamilton, Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Mike Goodwin, Akintunde, John Witherspoon, J. Anthony Brown, and Anthony Anderson.
Ced Delaney has been co-host of several radio morning shows and has appeared on BET's Comic View". He’s performed at Improv Comedy Clubs across the country, hosted monthly comedy nights at Workplay (Birmingham, AL) called The “Ced Delaney.COMedy Nite”, “Tickle Tuesday’s” at The Comedy Club Stardome (Birmingham, AL), and Jokes and Jazz (Desoto, TX). His other TV appearances includes the host of the “UPN Sunday Movie Showcase”, as well as the weekly televised “SWACtacular” which covers all events in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Ced has acted in plays such as, “Choo Choo Me Home”, a story about the Pullman Porter, “Once In A Wifetime”, a story about Polygamy, and “4-X-ample”, which is also the movie “The Job”, a story about how work can interfere with a relationship, Delaney is co-star of this movie. He is also appearing in the documentary "Delivered" set to come out Fall 2011.
In addition to his professional life, Ced is also devoted to giving back to the community. In 2001, he began the Be A Man Foundation, a mentoring program for teen males to help them become better men and productive citizens. The organization tackles areas of literacy, self worth, and community involvement. Along with his work with the Be A Man Foundation, Ced is also very active with the Big Brothers program. He also volunteers with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life where he serves as the Online Chairperson.
